Our Journey
Where It Started
No money, no business experience, no plan. A normal working background, a love for cars, and a habit of figuring things out the hard way. At 22 I walked away from the life I was in and started building something of my own.
From JP Engineering to JP Cages
We started as JP Engineering, a small welding and fabrication business taking on whatever came through the door. About six years in, a mate asked me to build him a roll cage. I read up on the regulations, built it, and put it online. The enquiries started coming in. One job, and I knew what the business was actually meant to be.
Finding Our Home
In early 2018 we took a larger unit in Woodhall Spa and went all in on roll cages. One cage for a mate had turned into a specialist business, designing and building bespoke weld-in and bolt-in cages for people who care about their cars as much as we care about our work.
The Real Journey
None of it has been smooth. I’ve made impulsive decisions, taken risks, struggled with organisation and learned most things the hard way. Being diagnosed with ADHD later in life explained a lot about how I work — fast, intense, sometimes chaotic, always driven. It sits behind the hard parts and the energy in equal measure.

JP Cages is a loyal, hard-working team who take real pride in what leaves the workshop. We’re not trying to be a faceless brand. We’re real people doing real graft, with genuine respect for the customers who trust us with their builds.
What Makes Us Different
The JP Cages range is designed to offer a product for every level of motorsport, from low-budget toys right through to international championship cars. Our set-up allows us to offer a more bespoke and refined range than most of our competitors. What makes us different is that we’re more personal when it comes to customers. We have full control and can cater to any requirement.
Where We’re Going
JP Cages aim to eventually cover all areas of motorsport, offering products that cater to every budget and every use. We’ve done a lot in a short space of time, but we’re only just getting started.

Our standard material and the backbone of every JP Cages build. E355+N is a precision cold drawn seamless steel tube with a minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm² and tensile strength of 490–630 N/mm².
