Before You Begin
-
The kit is CNC notched, marked and labelled for ease of assembly.
-
Use the reference images to locate where mounts sit and where to remove unused body material.
-
Clean all paint/seam sealer from mounting areas to ensure strong welds.
-
All mounting plates include captive nuts which should face downward inside the car.
Assembly Overview
-
Fit Main Hoop Mounts:
-
Position using reference images.
-
Drill clearance holes if required for captive nuts.
-
Tack weld mounts and bolt foot plates in place.
-
-
Install Main Roll Bar (MRB):
-
Position the bar on the mounts.
-
Ensure the alignment markers face the rear ready for the backstays.
-
Tack securely while still allowing small adjustments.
-
-
Fit Rear Backstays:
-
Offer LB/RB to the hoop and mark landing positions.
-
Distance between backstay feet should be 1160 mm centre-to-centre.
-
Fit and tack rear mounts (120 × 60 mm plates).
-
Ensure diagonal D1 lines up correctly.
-
-
Fit A-Bars (LAB/RAB):
-
Use door bars to help align front feet position.
-
Tack front mounts.
-
Fit bars using saddle clamps at the hoop — rotate clamps for best fit.
-
-
Install Roof Bar (RFB):
-
Loosely clamp both ends.
-
Position close to the roof structure while still allowing removal.
-
-
Fit Door Bars (LD/RD):
-
Clamp door bars using saddle clamps at both ends.
-
Final Welding
-
Once everything is tacked and aligned inside the car, weld all accessible joints.
-
Do not fully weld the saddle clamps at this stage to avoid locking components in place.
-
Ensure all saddle clamps are securely tacked.
-
Remove the cage from the vehicle and fully weld all joints including saddle clamps.
-
The cage may shrink slightly during welding — re-check alignment with mounts before fully welding mounts to the shell.
-
Once confirmed, fully weld the mounts to the car.
